It's not that he hates Stats or anything, it's just he's got a very... keen sense of right and wrong. And his cheery demeanor is sure to put Moriarty right off, the way he does with Sherlock. ]

[ he needed to be on that list, John. He'll do whatever it takes to get something solved. While others find the idea of that list terrifying, Sherlock finds it relieving because it assures him he's one step closer to figuring things out. ]
